Coalition Funders
Moses Cone - Wesley Long Community Health Foundation
Moses Cone-Wesley Long Community Health Foundation seeks to invest in the development and support of activities, programs and organizations that measurably improve the health of people in the geographic area traditionally served by the Moses Cone Health System. Our funding priorities are 1) access to health services, with particular emphasis on the elimination of barriers to health services by persons in need, and 2) wellness, with particular attention to physical activity; nutrition/obesity; substance abuse, including tobacco use prevention/cessation; responsible sexual behavior, especially the prevention of HIV/AIDS, STDs, and adolescent pregnancy; mental health; and injury prevention. In addition to these priorities, the Foundation has a strong and special interest in funding organizational development and technical assistance projects that help communities build the capacity to help themselves improve the health of those in the community.
